BUILDING AS A MECHANISM: The museum is conceived as a system of paths and separate volumes, but articulated and linked together: the functions and connections have a precise volumetric identification, material and structural; these volumes have simple shapes and impact and are as distinct components into a unitary mechanism. These are arranged radially around a single focus: the theme of centrality is manifested in a compact system that gives the sequence of the individual buildings relating them through a single, curved path, which encircles and contains them as a belt.
